Administrative Assistant - 35 Hrs. / Week  

We are seeking a skilled administrative assistant for our dance and music academy. As the administrative assistant, you’ll be working closely with the Directors of Zaytouna Academy, the responsibilities & duties include but are not limited to:

  • Return phone calls and answer inquiries from parents & students
  • Register students for classes and handle tuition payments and billing
  • Handle clerical duties and maintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems
  • Assist with all aspects of seasonal events, event management, and organization working with the different teams.
  • Support with venue bookings, vendor booking, and managing vendor and suppliers’ relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Between 20 to 30 years old, hard-working, fast learner and can work independently.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in an administrative capacity working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining a positive attitude and a professional, calm demeanor and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work weekends (When necessary)
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, and well organized
  • Experience working in school or camp programs, and knowledge of dance is a plus.
  • A post-secondary degree in Business Administration or similar is an asset. 
  • Event management experience is considered an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Docs is a must
  • Arabic language speaking & writing  

This is an 8 weeks contract position, that has a great potential of becoming a full-time position in September.

Social Media Manager - 35 Hrs. / Week

We are seeking a social media specialist to manage various social media platform accounts. As the Social Media Specialist, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing to the target audience
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product Development teams
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors and inquiries. Handling requests for information and maintaining direct messages with the audience through various social media platforms

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be less than 30 years old 
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
  • Excellent multitasking skills. punctual and responsive
  • Good technical understanding and can learn new hardware and software quickly.
  • Public relations & community management experience and the ability to stay connected with the events in the community
  • Arabic language speaking & writing

This is a 9 weeks contract that has a great potential of being a full-time position in September.

Marketing & Sales Executive- 35 Hrs. / Week

We are seeking a Sales and marketing executive to help us develop marketing strategies for the organization. In this position, you will be involved in developing marketing strategies, implementing marketing plans, developing and driving different campaigns, developing sales strategies, and maintaining customer and sponsor relations. As the marketing executive,  your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:    

  • Develop marketing strategies for the dance academy and design and implement effective marketing campaigns.

  • Conduct market research on competition and on dance industry drivers, and trends.
  • Design and implement marketing plans to promote the classes, workshops, and events.
  • Build and effectively execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for our events, and coordinate with media representatives and sponsors.
  • Working with the instructors to support and promote their dance classes and to seek, attract and sign up sponsors for the classes. 
  • Build and maintain great relations with community organizations, media, theaters, art councils, and sponsors and represent Zaytouna in community events. 
  • Track enrolments to ensure the organization meets class capacity targets.
  • Execute effective plans to generate leads and reach new audiences. 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing.

  • Proven work experience as a marketing and sales executive.
  • Knowledge of modern marketing techniques.
  • High-level communication and networking skills 
  • Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Arabic language speaking and writing

This is an 8 weeks contract with the potential to become a full time position in September

Dabke Instructors 

We have an opening for a dabke instructor for our Oakville, Mississauga, and Kitchener locations, presently to run additional dabke classes as part of the summer program.  

This is an ideal opportunity for existing or senior or previous Zaytouna students, dabke performers, or members of dabke groups looking for an opportunity to give back to the community. It is also a great opportunity for students or ladies who love dabke and looking for something fun and exciting on the side.

  • We pay an hourly rate, with the opportunity for additional pay for activity workshops
  • We will provide an experience (Train the Trainer) including dabke steps demonstration, methods of teaching already choreographed performances, and access to dabke training and resources

The ideal candidate:

  • Good dabke skills and the ability to learn advanced moves
  • Able to commit to weeknights and weekends whenever needed.
  • Has a driver's license or ability to manage their own transportation
  • Enjoys dealing with kids.
  • Patient, ethical, positive attitude, and the ability to work with parents and kids in a professional and pleasant way

Dabke Performers

We have openings for dabke and folklore dance performers for new high-quality theatre productions. This is a unique opportunity for skilled dabke dancers who are interested and would enjoy stage work, and theater performances to a diverse audience.

Experienced training and choreography will be provided. You should be able and willing to attend the training workshops.
